I traveled with my sister and she had been on Allure previously and had a great experience, so I wanted to try it. We arrived at the port shortly after 11AM and were able to just walk right in and within 15 minutes or so we were onboard. The first thing I wanted to do was to find out what restaurant we were assigned for the first night as we had a four night dining package.
We went to the hostess desk and found we were assigned Samba, but we wanted to do Chops so we easily changed our reservations. We also made reservations for the other nights. We also did a BOGO for the 2nd night and used that for Giovanni's. The third night we went to Samba. I love Brazilian Steakhouses, but was totally disappointed in Samba. I don't know if it was because our reservations were for 8:30 and that was late (?) but the salad bar was disappointing. It was almost empty of everything except for some seafood.
The service in Samba was also disappointing. We were never offered some of the meats even though we had our card showing green which meant we were ready for meat. I was surprised that when we were served filet mignon, only 2 tiny pieces were on the skewer. That is definitely not what I am used to at other Brazilian restaurants. Additionally, there was almost no one in the restaurant.
After reading that the cabins were very small, I was a bit apprehensive. I did think it was a bit smaller than other ships/lines I've sailed, but it was a great size for the two of us. Our cabin steward was excellent and definitely did everything he could to make our cabin comfortable for us. It seems as though he cleaned the cabin within 5 minutes of our leaving it.
