We choose the 10 Day Cruise instead of the 11 Day because we liked the only being at sea 1 day between ports. We drove from Iowa to Ft Lauderdale and arrived in time to embark without a long waits or lines. Parking was very close to the ship terminal.Embarkation was smooth and we we liked the efficiency of the the process.
Our stateroom was a handicap accessible (ordered by choice) interior and was very spacious. Our Steward was very attentive and helpful throughout the the cruise.
We selected open dining, but made reservation each night at 5:30. We requested the same table so we knew where we would be seated. The Dining staff knew our names and what we liked after the first night. The food was very good, but not as good as we had experienced on Carnival. The was a daily Microsoft Digital Workshop on the cruise, and I attended several of the daily sessions. They were all on some aspect of Windows 10 and I got a lot out of them. The instructor was very knowable. There was also a daily Q&A about Win 10 and allow you to ask suspect question about you personal use of Win 10.
The cabin had the standard two twin pushed together to make a king sized bed. It was very comfortable. The was a 3 closets, a safe, a desk and a sofa. The bath had a shower, and well stocked with every thing you needed. Soap Lotion Shower cap hair dryer. Bath soap, Shampoo and Conditioner where in a wall mounted dispenser in the shower. There was a TV in the room, but because of the way it was mounted it was hard to see from the bed. There was a DVD Player also. Every night there was a towel Animal left on the bed along with chocolates, and the next day activity list and a breakfast room service menu.
This is a tourist stop. Lots of bead and trinkets. There was a free lunch. The Cay is owned by HAL & Carnival. and it is a stop to get a few more Dollars. There are excursions , but we are cheap and only look for souvenirs. Nice beach to lay out and get a tan.
We disembarked and walked the shout distance to the town. walked the streets and I got cigars and took pictures.
Again walked into town and rubbed elbows with the Panamanians. Bought more souvenirs and just looked around.
We again walked into town looked around and then hired a local taxi to drive us around the city. Very interesting we saw thing that you don't see on the ship excursion.
We drove to Port Everglades. The port was well marked and it was easy to find the ship and terminal. The Parking Ramp was next to the terminal. It was $15 a day to park.
