My wife and I went with 4 other couples to celebrate my sister-in-laws 50th birthday. As a group we've been planning this trip for nearly 2 years.

When we booked the trip we expected that Carnival would know that the weather is not good during this time of year, and we never would have booked this trip knowing that fact. Sailing across the pacific we knew that leaving from Long Beach the weather might not be good for the first full day at sea. The weather did not improve until the 3rd day at sea. We were to travel top 5 islands, but only were able to visit 3 islands due to high winds, and very bad weather conditions.

When we were in Honolulu, the ship had to move piers, and we were shocked when we returned to the pier and our ship was gone. You would think that Carnival would have had a Rep. to let clients know that the ship had been moved. The we had to go out to sea, as we could not stay in port, and we experienced winds as high as 88 MPH. Needless to say this was not a good night for us. We then went to Kona, and again had to stay 2 days due to bad weather on Hilo. As we needed to tender to the island, we were stunned that the ship had to leave to go out to sea, only to return the next morning to the same island.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8D

Housekeeping did an excellent job on our cabin, but our balcony could have been cleaner. They came twice a day to clean our room, and they were always very friendly.

Port Reviews

Kona (Kailua Bay)

Best port of call out of the whole bunch.
