Convenient sailing from Charleston SC. New procedure for boarding, staggered time. They don't let you on the ship as early as in the past. Could not park until 11:30a.m. So you sit in car, could be hot for summer cruises. Hopefully they will change this, it was very congested all at one time, even though it is supposed to be staggered boarding. Our boarding time was 1:30 and we got on board at that time. So it took two hours from the time we got to park. 30 min. in car because we got there early. Once on board and at sailing, 58 min. fire/safety drill, very long time to stand in heat.
Food was a little better than on the Fantasy ship, although most dishes are overly salted. They overbooked our table, 14 people for a 10 seat table so they put chairs in to accommodate instead of finding another table for the extra people, every night we fought with chairs.
The shows were exactly as the Fantasy and Sunshine cruises and has been the same for almost 3 years. No good entertainment during sea days, just trivia games or some other game like paper air plane contest! "Fur Real"!
Cabin was not as described, it had a bunk bed which took up room where the couch was supposed to be. Stayed in room M160, this has been the smallest room yet, would not stay in a room like this again, even the bathroom was smaller, which you wouldn't think could be possible. Bathroom smelt like throw up the entire time. And you now choose what time you want them to clean up room. Carnival has made some changes this year, I think a little less personalized. We saw are cabin server once, when we filled out what time we wanted to clean the room.
no tour, just walked the streets near basket market.
