We chose this cruise because we thought it would have a lot of children's activities. Our 4 year old was too little for the slide. The daycare was mostly free play and tv in a small room, not the educational cruise we thought.
To compare the Crown Princess (cp) with the Elation: First of all, we had a 2 hours wait in customs and security for the Elation. There is a small opening of time to get on the ship for 2600 people. We finally got on the ship at 3, just as they were closing all the food. We had been waiting for our shuttle since 11:40, so we were pretty hungry by 3.
Elation's 24 buffet is ice cream (a machine) and pizza. Princess had 2 buffets, with one open at all times. One buffet would close down for cleaning while the other stayed open. Princess buffets were full buffets.
The cabin had a window and was great. The beds were comfortable. The towel animals were adorable. Michael was a wonderful Steward.
They had some small hut-like buildings where you could buy souvenirs, but you had to get a ride if you wanted to go to a beach or town (or a long walk)
Not much to see on the glass bottom boat, but the island was fantastic.
