We have cruised with other cruise lines before and they were fun and exciting, but the experience we had with Viking far exceeded every past experience. The staff and food exceeded my expectations, and the Program Director (not Cruise Director) offered some incredible incites to the areas history and cultures, and his knowledge of the river, cities and castles made learning history exciting.

The included excursions, with local guilds, were both fun and informative. We extended our cruise experience with two days in Lucerne, what a beautiful and clean city. Viking provided a local guide to take us through the city, Swiss chocolates are the best. Then we took an excision to the top of Mount Pilatus, incredible views and the cog wheel train was a fun experience of its own. From the local guilds with their personal stories of the area, to the hotel and dinning staff, everyone was friendly, helpful and made this trip a once in a life time adventure (I hope it's more than once.) Vary much recommend this cruise line!
