I had planned this cruise for a huge family getaway with all my friends from school and their families for our 40th birthdays. Alas the cruise just ended up being myself and husband and our three children however i'm so glad we went on this cruise because we had a ball.
We disembarked from Sydney, Australia and i have to say it was a very easy process. We had a cocktail in our hand after about 10 minutes of being on board and that just set the tone for a fabulously relaxing trip.
We had an interconnected room with a balcony and my husband and i had our own room, connected by another room where our 3 children slept. I have never had them sleep as soundly as they did on that cruise, the gentle rocking and great block out curtains kept them sleeping soundly for hours. The rooms were kept so clean by the cleaner and he always remembered our names and was so polite it was just a tad embarrassing.
We had a balcony but truly other than taking photo's we really didn't sit out very much. It was too windy to sit and enjoy the view.
Very clean and spacious enough for our family of 5. Shower was a bit squished, but hot and quite satisfactory. kept very clean.
TV in the room was a bit average and not much on. There is literally no Internet however that was fine, and i felt relaxed without all that keeping me occupied. I just brought a good book and had a lovely time.
We rented a taxi which was terrible and wasted a lot of money on very little. I recommend doing a tour and seeing something interesting. It was a very dirty and pretty uninteresting place! Cascade waterfalls was nice though!!
Walked around island and had a lovely day. Girls got hair braided for $20 which was too expensive but was a nice stop over.
