This was our 5th NCL cruise, 7th cruise overall. We wanted to try the larger ship to see if we liked it (which we didn't, more on that later).

We arrived in Port Canaveral at noon on Saturday. By 12:40, we were onboard the Epic. Super fast embarkation. We somehow put the wrong room number on all of our luggage and immediately went to guest services to tell them. They originally said that they wouldn't be able to do anything until 8:00 PM when all of the unclaimed bags came down to them, but the customer service rep said that she would try to get ahold of someone.

NOTE: download the iConcierge app when you're in port (or ahead of time). It has all of your dailies delivered to your phone via the ship's wi-fi, which you don't pay for to access the app.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

Rented a clamshell. Awesome snorkeling...best of the 3 ports. Not the most colorful fish, but the most calm and shallow water so you could actually enjoy yourself.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Easy embarkation
