This was only our 2nd cruise but, what a great experience. I booked thru an NCL travel agent. She was so helpful and guided me all the way and answered any questions I had promptly. I will only book thru her in the future. We flew into Ft Lauderdale a day early, took free shuttle service to our hotel. (Hampton Inn Plantation/Ft Lauderdale Nice hotel). The shuttle driver Tom was great! He shuttled us from and back to the Ft Lauderdale Airport the next morning were our NCL travel agent had set up prepaid transportation voucher to Port of Miami. (One piece of advice from level 1 baggage claim. You will turn right outside the doors but, you have to walk way down to were the Hotel shuttles pick you up.) We arrived at the Port of Miami there you can leave your suit cases and they will be loaded on the ship. The Escape was incredible. So many activities. Slides were fun, my husband did the zip line that was pretty cool. This ship has so many things to do we may have to take a 2nd trip to get every thing out of it. Plenty of lounges we spent a lot of time at O'Sheehan's which is above the atrium and were a lot of the game shows take place. Food their is complimentary. We did not get a dinner package. They had plenty of complimentary places to eat. We tried them all and they were all Very Good. The Savor, The Taste, the Garden Grill. We ate one night at Cagney's Steak House. It was Excellent! It's ala Cart but the prices are very reasonable well worth it. We picked the beverage package for our Free at See choice so as long as the drinks were under $15 dollars you could order them in any restaurant or lounge just by showing them your room card.

The Lounges we went to were O'Sheehan's ,Brew Distract, Five O'clock Somewhere. Bong the Bartender was really funny. A lot more lounges that we missed. Entertainment we didn't see any shows. we wanted to see a tribute Frankie Vali but it was booked. As far as shore excursions the St John Champagne Catamaran Sail & Snorkel was great. the Blue Lagoon Island Beach Break well worth it. However, the Tortola Island Beach Break not so much. the best part of that excursion was the driver K Ron. the beach was very long and narrow but very crowded. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are extra $5 each.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

The cabin was very spacious. We stored our suite cases under the bed. The closet was large enough for all we needed to hang and we also stored 1 suite case in the closet. The side of the closet has shelves to put folded clothes on and a safe. It has a mini stocked fridge. (we asked to have the stock removed so we could store water and champagne that we ordered.) Also, has a coffee maker. It has plenty of outlets for connecting hair a dryer and charging cell phones. The hair dry was awesome, I didn't use the one I brought. The bathroom in the mini suit is unbelievable for a ship. It has double sinks, the shower has 6 adjustable shower jets and a rain shower head. VERY spacious. You can request an iron and ironing board from housekeeping for about 45 min. if you need to.

Port Reviews

Miami

Could have a little bit better communication getting to Ship from bus

Tortola

Not our cup of tea. Very croweded. Poor communication getting back to buses.
