Cabin: Large Ocean View Stateroom

Last minute decision to book this cruise as it was a bargain not to miss - included Emirates flight.

Have only travelled with RCI once before, usually go with P and O.

Flight and transfer good. Arrived around 7.30am so we were transferred to a hotel for breakfast, then boarded ship around 11am, allowed into cabins around 1pm.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Deck 3 - Aft very close to end of corridor - was noisy at 7.30 in the morning when ship was docking due to engine noise.

Port Reviews

Muscat

Had a wander around, easy to walk to, visited the Souk, then had a walk along Corniche for around 15 minutes, very attractive - water fountains, flower beds and a nice childrens park, a Portuguese Fort at the end that you can climb up.

Abu Dhabi

Arranged our own Taxi (non regulated) Driver waited for us to go inside Mosque (ladies have to cover their head) and Emirates Palace hotel (amazing) Very clean City, feels very safe

Dubai

Took a taxi to Creek area, very interesting. Walked to underground metro, travelled to Dubai Mall, quite a long way but very fast and cheap. Men have to stand in separate area to women or face a fine! Enjoyed the fountains in the evening, massive Mall so allow plenty of time...took around 1 hour in a taxi to return to ship because of the amount of traffic on the road so bear in mind it could take a long time to get around the city. Burj Al Arab around 18 miles from the Port.
