Enchantment of the Seas was not what I expected. My first two cruises were on larger ships with many amenities. I was worried I would not adjust to the ship's age and size. However, I did read the ship was refurbished not too long ago. When I stepped of the gangway... I was surprised.

The main centrum is beautiful with decor and great ambient lights at night. The ship had a personal touch which I come to appreciate compared to the the bigger ships (Which are still great). You will see the same faces throughout your cruise and make new friends in this more smaller setting. Customer services is always great when it comes to Royal Caribbean team. Activities are plentiful and the popular Quest Adult Game Show is a MUST see. Production shows are well done and not some poor cheap theater show. Theater have plenty of seats and you will always have a great view of the stage. There are plenty of bars to help you get your money worth of your beverage package.

What you need to know is the ship does still have minor aging details such as rust on objects, chipped paint on walls, and a useless shower curtain that will make the bathroom floor soak wet. The casino is small, and will get busy at the tables (Only 2 roulette tables) after dinner. Be prepared to climb the stairs or wait as the elevators (Probably on most ships) are always backed up. It is best to pick your room strategically near the elevator and in the middle deck. The "Adult Only" solarium was not really adult only. There were kids constantly in this area, the pool was always closed for cleaning, and the use of chlorine was so strong, it made me high. Customer services is great, but in the main dinning room, sometimes the waiter disturb your meal by checking on you every 10 minutes... It feels someone is holding a gun to their heads (Probably so). We get it... you want to make us happy, but sometimes you want time to eat and chat with your friends and family.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin G

Cabin was in good condition. Nice size window on deck three catching the beauty of the Ocean and other passing ships at night. The bathroom was remodeled and there were more sockets than most newer ships. The shower is smaller and have a shower curtain that is a little old and get the floor wet most of the times. Close to the elevators making it easily accessible.
