I did as much research as I could on Carnival's website, Cruise Critic forum, and watched hours of VLOGs. I knew what to expect when it came to our cabin, the ship's amenities, the food and the Ports and Shore excursions.
I have three kids, my son is 17, daughters 16 and 15. The four of us traveled with my Dad and Stepmom. My kids and I had a Deluxe Ocean View cabin on deck one mid-ship while my parents had a balcony on deck 9.
I titled my review not enough time with a question mark and an exclamation for the following reasons:
Deluxe Ocean View- Large window, two bathrooms, one with a tub/shower, the other with the toilet has a nice size standup shower and a large counter area. Plenty of drawer and closet hanging storage. The twin beds (or King) are very comfortable, the bedding is soft and new feeling. The Pull Down bed was not very comfy nor was the couch bed both were not exactly soft but we did not have trouble sleeping because of it. Everything looked and felt new.
We visited Miami beach and Ocean Drive for shopping.
We visited Paradise beach, while the pool area was nice, the prices were ridiculous to "use" the floating toys, the water is full of sharp rocks. Pay the entrance fee of $2 but do not pay the fee to use the toys until you check it out. I felt like a "Mark". The beach peddlers are pushy and beg tips. The waitstaff is rude and act as though they do not have change- looking for a higher tip. I was not comfortable and would not return. The prices at the shops were literally three times that of the port shops that said, you need to watch the port shop prices as they vary considerable from one shop to the next around the corner.
