After reading all the negative reviews for the Millennium we were concerned that we possibly made the wrong choice for this cruise. This was our third cruise with Celebrity and once again, we were NOT DISAPPOINTED! The ship was older than what we were use to, but it was well maintained. Our cabin was clean and the service was as good as any other Celebrity ship we have sailed on. Food and entertainment was excellent as usual and the staff was friendly and curtious.
This was our first time travelling to that part of the world, and we were not use to the immigration issues that we encountered before arriving at the ports. Multiple immigration checks and handing over our passports while we were on the ship. We were not told about this before we left, so it came as a bit of a surprise. But it was always organized and efficient.
Travelling to this part of the world was very different for us. We really enjoyed it and we toured most of the cities. Don't go here and expect to see anything close to the ports. There is really nothing close by to visit. So do your homework and plan tours. Otherwise you will be disappointed. And the weather for us was all over the map. The warmest weather was Vietnam and Manila. Unfortunately the rest of the cruise was cool to cold, so on the 'sea days' you were confined to inside the ship. But there was lots of things to do to keep busy it you wanted.
Being an older ship, the room was a little tired, but it was very clean. I believe that there was new carpet, but everthing else was older.
Stay on the ship if you don't plan an excurision. Nothing close by.
