Outstanding river cruise

This advertised Elbe River cruise special vastly exceeded our expectations. The Fontane is an older ship, but it was comfortable and has been very well maintained. It was well suited to the low water conditions that sometimes can make travel difficult along the Elbe. Unlike my last River cruise on the Danube, this trip went perfectly per the plan.The entire crew was so friendly and co-operative that I can't say enough nice things about them. Chef Bobby was excellent (as was his food), our cruise director (Ric Jones) was excellent, and I have never observed a Captain who was so personally engaged in the operation of his ship as Martin Bousa (not to mention so honest in answering questions and so interactive with his passengers). We totally enjoyed the ship, itinerary, staff & crew, food and fellow passengers on this cruise. The wife and I have been on many cruises - and this was one of the best.
