Cabin: Veranda Stateroom

Loved the smaller passenger number (190) and the European ports of call from Budapest to Vienna, then through Germany to Amsterdam. Wonderful stateroom with veranda was very comfortable. Service was outstanding, as well as food. Staff was exceptional, professional and knowledgeable. Excursions included in fare were very informational and conducted by local guides (loved Marcus, the tour guide in Cologne!). Optional tours were excellent as well- we very much appreciated the WWII tour in Nuremberg and the Mozart and Strauss concert in Vienna. Viking team made embarkation and disembarkation as easy as possible. We were nervous landing in Budapest, but Viking representatives quickly put us at ease. The motor coaches for transfers and tours were much more comfortable than we expected. The entire trip simply exceeded our expectations. Our favorite meals were evening dinners on Aquavit deck, with Marianna and Dragos taking exceptional care of us. We'd love to go back to the Vili and repeat the trip!

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Very well designed, a lot of storage, good outlets (no need for converters), comfortable furnishings

Port Reviews

Vienna

Loved the free time to have coffee and enjoy city

Budapest

Loved the view of the Danube from tour lookout and the history of Budapest shared on tour

Passau

So much history

Nuremberg

WWII tour was exceptional- draining details of Hitler's rise to power, but important history. Museum, Zeppelin field, and courtroom where Nuremberg trials took place were included.
