We chose this cruise 2 years ago for the different port it was offering. We had never been to India, or Sri Lanka so now was the time.
The ports were underwhelming and though we knew that India would be dirty we were surprised at the level of rubbish left lying around with no need at all for it.
The ship may be older but was clean and take into consideration it is going to dry dock in a few months time there are worse ships out at sea at present.
The ships entertainers were the best we have seen for a long time and their new productions shows make a refreshing change.
Guest entertainers - well its hard to please so many nationalities.
The Food could be better and is not as good as has been In the past and portions could definitely be slashed in half. According to one chef the portion control is down to "Miami", well stop cutting corners elsewhere and provide smaller tastier dishes again.
The service from the crew was brilliant as always
Clean comfortable and bright furnishings without the garish pictures found on Solstice class ships.
Celebrity do need to update the pillows though, (if hotels can do this so can they)
We flew in late the day prior to embarkation so had no time to visit the city
We took a taxi to the Dubai Mall, we waited for the fog to clear to take photos of the Burj Khalifa and then visited the Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, this passed a very good couple of hours
Not prepared for the amount of rubbish on streets, there is absolutely no need in this day (build an incinerator and clear it up). People just standing around on the streets. The old buildings were as the British left them, would I go again perhaps notView All 31 City Tour Reviews
This was by far the cleanest of all the places we visited in India, the church and fishing nets were good sights as were the surrounding areas.View All 8 City Tour Reviews
