We chose Royal carribean over star cruise due to its ship being newer with more amenities onboard like ice skating , dreamworks parade , activities for all age groups , royal promenade etc.It was a big family get together for us as we were celebrating our parents 50th marraige anniversary. We were all too excited to board the ship but our excitement was short lived due to a long slow moving waiting line for immigration.since we were all travelling in suite category hence we were given a time between 11.,30-3.30 to reach the checkin counter. we reached at 1p.m.,the check in took around 15 minutes but there were only 5 immigration counters for " all passports" and we took one and a half hour to reach the immigration counter and board the ship . this experience was pathetic as we were all drained out and hungry . it was already 4 pm and the only place one gets anything to eat at that time on ship is cafe promenade , which also closes from 4.30-5.15 when they have the dreamworks parade . the royal promenade is a very small area where the dreamworks parade happen and the kids being short hardly get to see it properly if one has not lined up in front beforehand.we climbed on chairs to see it somehow.

the windjammer where one gets unlimited food with good variety food is very well managed and fast but to get a seat there again is a challenge and i must mention that though they do try to put in some vegetarian food but keeping in mind that 850 indians were onboard the ship with total 3500 passengers hence they should have a good indian chef with more authentic indian food.nevertheless they did make delicious "gajar ka halwa"

it was my sons bday and the guest service lady got a cake delivered to our room at 12.00 pm midnight on a short notice of 30 minutes, which is appreciable.
