My wife and I having decided to take our first cruise after many years of 4/5 star hotel vacations in many parts of the world looked to advises from internet subscribers and eventually decided upon a freestyle cruise with NCL, and didn't we do well.

We cruised on the Norwegian Jade from Southampton on the Western Mediterranean Itinerary which was brilliant even with a few warts and all, but we expected that as first time on a cruise. Here then is my report, with advise and conclusions..

Embarkation/Disembarkation at Southampton is up or down a lengthy corridor so if you have even a slight disability of any kind request assistance lifting, carrying or for the use of a wheelchair and operator.

Family Balcony

Cabin B3

Our balcony cabin was port-side not to far back from the ships bows.It was adiquate with its design well thought out giving plenty of storage space. The wash room could have done with being a little larger for me as I am 6 foot tall and 17 stone and with arthritis in my shoulders.Other than that all was o\k,
