Had a wonderful cruise on the Eurodam 6/12/09 through 6/22/09. Arrived a day early and stayed the night at the Best Western Hebron. Its a great hotel and easy walking distance to everything in downtown. Plenty of room for the three of us and very nice full breakfast. Read my review on tripadvisor if you have any questions. Copenhagen is a wonderful, and clean city. Easy to walk around town and plenty of taxis and public transportation. Arriving on the Eurodam was easy and fast. Drop the luggage at the front area, wait in a long, but quick line. Fill out some forms, have your picture taken, and move along into paradise.  They really make it that simple and easy. Up to the lido where there are more people then tables as everyone seems to report. However, we took our food out by the pool and had no trouble finiding a table. Room was ready within a short time and luggage arrived like magic. The usual life jacket drill was staged with the typical chaos and confusion. Although this time, they actually take attendance and mark your family  off a list. I have never seen that done before...guess you can't hide in your room anymore or they WILL come looking for you. Speaking of the room, It was a nice balcony room. Our 12 year old son slept on the fold out couch and it was more than adequate for him. Storage is not so great but we simply put things away under the bed and felt just fine with the room space. It was nice having a bathtub/shower and a rather large counter area. And of course, you can never go wrong with a balcony, especially when it is facing portside as this room did. The ship is very nice. Plenty of lounges and venues to keep you occupied. The kids Hal Program was great for our son and he met some very nice kids on board his age.  The food was wonderful in the dining room and in the Lido. We mainly ate in the Lido because our son liked it better in that area. However, one night we did eat at the Tamarin and really enjoyed that experience. Went to a couple of shows and enjoyed all of the people watching. My wife and I met with a group of cruise critics. That was fun getting to see and meet the people behind the names. The excursions into the various ports really made this trip special. We did our own thing in Estonia, Sweeden, and Finland. St. Petersburg is very controlled and worth seeing. We enjoyed our visit but found the city too crouded and rushed. Kiel Germany was nice and pleasant. We enjoyed the countryside, castle, and lake tour. Overall, enjoyed the cruise and Holland America was a good company to do business with. In fact they just sent me a letter stating they are refunding me money because we were overchanged for port charges. Now that seldom if ever happens anymore. I will cruise with Holland again and espeically the Eurodam.
