We anticipated and looked forward to this cruise for almost a year and it still exceeded our expectations. From the moment we got off the plane until we were delivered to our line at our departure airport we were taken care of like royalty. We felt like all of the staff treated us as friends. We knew each others's names and stories - and they knew our preferences. It was obvious that they enjoyed what they were doing.
Although we didn't spend a lot of time in our cabin, it had everything we needed and our maid was delightful. Most of our 'ship time' was spent in the lounge ( it was November ) and it was very comfortable. Sometimes we sat with a large group of friends and sometimes we sat in one of the smaller sections. I especially enjoyed watching the screen with current photos of us all.
Most of the time Rumen was on the piano in the lounge and he was great. He was so versatile and interacted with us all. Several times we had special entertainment or lectures. These were related to where we were at the time and that was great. The games we played were fun too and helped to bring us all together - especially if our team won!
This was my favourite stop
I bought some lace
We took the extended tour and really got a feel for what it must have been like to live with Nazi propaganda. We tend to be smug about how we would not have been taken in.Perhaps we would have. Our guide was excellent here.
We had another excellent guide here - very passionate. We did the extended tour here too and learned a lot about the Jewish history.
Loved both 'cities'
Loved learning about the elves
Beauitful, but we didn't get to hear the organ
