12 of us (over 55) get away every January just to play cards, catch up and enjoy being together. I saw all the mixed reviews and had little expectations for this cruise. Liberty is not a high class ship but it was fun! The food exceeded our expectations. It is not gourmet but none of us went hungry or couldn't find something we enjoyed. Yes, Guys Burgers are great, along with those yummy fries! The new BBQ place that took over the fish and chips place had good pulled pork. We had great dining room servers and every dinner was enjoyable. That is not to say every item was prepared exactly as we would have liked it but overall we had no complaints. . The ship is older and if you look for things to be negative about you will find them. The two production shows "Around the World" and "Rock and Roll" were very well done. The library had a lot of family type games and a good selection of books.
We had a balcony room and really enjoyed just sitting out reading and relaxing. There is plenty of storage space and a big couch to stretch out on.
Nassau is fun place to visit if you go beyond the markets around the pier. i go to tripadvisor.com or google interesting things to do in whatever place I am visitng and set up my own walking tour. Suggestions: Queens Staircase, Fort Fincastle, the Nassau Library, Parliment Square. In Freeport we stay on the boat as there is nothing there but vendors and we don't do water sports.Every staff person we encountered was very pleasant and tried to be helpful. I would go back on the Liberty again.
Spacious room, plenty of space. Needs updating.
