Our cabin was awesome, especially for not having a real window or view outside. It was nice to have the tv when we were confined to our room during the inclement weather.

We rode a safari bus out to an island where we saw some Mayan ruins, a lagoon with wildlife, climbed to the top of a lighthouse to overlook the ocean, got to take pictures with parrots, rode tandem bikes (two-seater bikers) to a private beach, and relaxed while an authentic Mexican meal was prepared for us. The hibiscus tea was awesome. Then we rode the bus back to port. It was educational, laid back, and fun. The only thing we didn't get to do on our agenda was the stand-up paddle boarding because of the choppy waters.

***Port of Mobile experience:

I had prepaid for parking, and both of us had planned to carry on our luggage, which were all within the specified dimension requirements, so all we needed to do was get parked and get in the terminal lines.Our ship, Carnival Fantasy, was delayed arriving by about 4 hours because of fog, so we had lunch and spent much of the afternoon exploring downtown Mobile, which was lovely.
