This cruise was given to us from our Son as a Christmas gift. We loved every minute of the cruise and after many, many cruises had nothing but praise for the entire staff. We stayed in Buenos Aires at the Mine Boutique hotel before the trip for 3 days and were treated like Royalty there also. Once onboard, the easier ever entry to a ship ever, we were amazed at the luxury of our Vista Suite. Our room stewards were always available to us and most polite. We used room service every morning and the server was excellent. So many activities to choose from onboard. I love to gamble and loved meeting at the casino with new found friends. My husband loved all the lectures and I also loved the cooking shows. We are Catholic and were able to go to Mass almost every day.

We did take several shore excursions and the only one we were displeased with was the tour in Costa Rica. We did the Machu Picchu climb and loved every minute of that experience. Cusco was one of the cleanest cities out side of Monte Carlo we have even experienced.

The Pinnacle Grill was really nice for dinner alone or with another couple. We were always greeted by name and welcomed back. The dining room gave us the same service. I'd say a "boy named Sue" was over and above in his politeness and in finding us a great table with other great guests. One of the highlights of the cruise for us was the music. We especially enjoyed the versatility of Darlene Carnahan in the Crows Nest and the fun atmosphere of Roy at the Martini Bar. Two of our favorite people on this ship. We never had difficulty in finding a place to sit by the pool. We were on this ship for 58 days all the way to Vancouver, then Hawaii and back to Vancouver, starting in Argentina. I'd go again in a heartbeat!!

Verandah Suite

Cabin B

Always clean and tidy. Always with bottled water and ice. Always kept clean. Jacuzzi tub did not work for the first two weeks but when I mentioned it, it was fixed right away. Towels were replaced when needed. We are clean cruisers and try not to make a mess, so we were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Laundry service was quick and excellent.

Can't wait to get enough stars to have free laundry. Almost there!

Port Reviews

Puerto Vallarta

We met our Son and had dinner with him and his friend at Iguana (former home of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor). Best filet I've ever had in my life. Dinner including drinks for the four of us was only $200.00.

Next day my Son and his friend were able to board the ship and have lunch with us.

Cabo San Lucas

My husband bought beer for $1.00 and stayed outside at a bar so he could use the internet for free. I took off on my own and hired a bicycle driver to take me shopping. He first took me to tourist places and I asked him to take me where the Mexican people shop. Wow! Did I ever get bargains and great merchandise. Shirts for $9.00 and then I found the Moda Fabric store and since I am a quilter went mad in the short time I had to buy fabric. So much fun. Bike ride cost $20.00 I gave him $30.00. A great day!

Buenos Aires

We stayed at the Mine Boutique Hotel and were extremely pleased with its location. We used the hopon-hopoff bus for touring and saw everything we could squeeze into 3 days. We went to a Tango show that was superb! Mine saw to it that we saw the special show that included classes and dancing with the artists.

Montevideo

Great tour. We love the market.

Puntarenas (Puerto Caldera)

just stayed at the port and shopped.
