My first time at the port in Jacksonville.  We drove to the port on the day of sailing and embarkation was way easier than I expected.  I was able to pull right up to the door where a porter loaded our bags for the ship (of course, we tipped!) and my mother was able to sit on a bench while I parked the car which was an easy walk back to the building.  We started through security and were through and on the ship in just under one hour, about the same as what I remembered from my two previous cruises in port of Miami. And then we found out the ship was almost at capacity so they were moving people through very well I thought. Enjoyed the buffet and just sat on the deck and enjoyed the ride out to sea!  Our table at second seating was a perfect fit of sisters and mother/daughters.  Our wait staff was attentive and I loved all the food!  I'm sure I've gained 5 pounds at least!  I highly suggest participating in the bingo, I won $350 the first night! Our first port of call was Half Moon Cay.  It's a tender port.  We easily got on the tender and a quick ride later we were on the beach!  We rented a clam shell for 17 dollars, worth every penny!  Based on the advice that I found on this great cruise critic forum, we propped up the back of the clam shell which gave us a lovely breeze!  Being extremely pale, I enjoyed sitting on the beach and not turning into a lobster!  The buffet lunch was tasty and plentiful.  The lines were not too long and there were plenty of tables to go around.  Thankfully we were the only boat there that day.  The bar staff trekked up and down the beach all day, delivering drinks (paid for on your s and s card).  Easy walk back to the tender and a short wait before we were back on the ship!  Love HMC and can't wait to go back again! The fun days at sea were just that!  The entertainment was great, the food was great, and all the staff were great!  I would ship on the Fascination again!  And also use the Port of Jacksonville again!

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6E

Our cabin was of course smaller than your typical hotel room, once we moved the beds around however, we had plenty of space for the two of us to move easily about the cabin.  The bathroom was small but plenty big to take a shower comfortably and use the other facilities.  The vanity area was plenty big for all our hair and makeup products.  The closets were big enough for us to hang our clothes and included a few shelves to place our folded clothes.  There were four drawers in the vanity also.  There was a flat screen tv in the corner of the room with the typical array of channels.  The window was nice to have, to "check" the weather!  I love the air conditioning, and the temperature was always comfortable and adjusts easy.  The water pressure is great as well as the water temperature.  The beds are sooooo comfortable.  I slept like a log!
