Low key, more luxurious. This size ship affords the vacationer less hubbub and features better service and food, along with the ability to stop in beautiful ports and partake of the on shore excursions. The entertainment and other cultural activities were enjoyable and worthwhile. The ship is new and was in perfect condition as well as the service level of the crew and staff. The ports of call and the on shore excursions offering were very good for the most part, squeezing a good bit of activity in a short period of time. We are looking forward to our next vacation on the Viking Ocean cruise this coming December. On our first cruise the weather could have cooperated a bit more since it was in the Spring, but that is not the fault of the cruise line but the inexperience of the traveler, as we were anticipating warmer and dryer weather.
