We had never been to Amsterdam, Holland and upon arrival we enjoyed walking around the city prior to the cruise. The highlight of our city excursions was visiting the Anne Frank House. We were glad that Viking told us to purchase tickets before we came or we would not have been able to see the house. We also visited the Van Gough Art Museum and the Science Museum. Additionally, we took a canal boat trip tour of the city that was informative.

Our hotel was within about a mile of the downtown area and we were able to walk to the main transportation hub where we caught trollies to various sights.

We had seen the Viking cruises in TV commercials and we were very anxious to experience the trip down the Rhine. The trip exceeded our expectations. The crew director was from Ireland and had an excellent sense of humor and he made the trip fun. My wife is vegan and gluten-free and the Chef went out of his way to prepare special meals for her. We felt the crew was very attentive to our needs and extremely polite.

Cabin Review

Very modern cabin and even though it was a lower level, the amenities were excellent. The King Sized bed was very comfortable. The cabin was extremely clean. The layout of the room was ideal.
