Wonderful Viking river cruise along the Seine River in Western France. Peaceful and relaxing countryside cruising to the historical and emotional WWII beaches and U.S. Cemetery at Normandy. Viking does it right. Well planned excursions; free time; excellent food and exceptionally clean ship. Ships staff were excellent and very accommodating. River cruising brings with it a smaller number of guests (approximately ~ 140). This makes it a more relaxed, intimate and social holiday experience. My wife and I love kids, but sometime we feel that it is good to vacation in a "child free" environment and river cruising gives you this. It is what it is...an adult river cruising experience. The other upside that made this a relaxed experienced was that the Viking travel group planned all of our flights at a very affordable price. If you extend your vacation over and above the Viking river cruise, for a minimal deviation fee, they will also plan your flights accordingly. This was just an overall Outstanding experience.
