This was a first cruise with all the family (girls 18 & 22), the Dawn was just the right size. Easy on and off in NOLA, park with Machu Piccu, not at the pier. Two inside cabins on deck 9. Loved the towel animals each night, friendly stewards. Plenty of options but not enough to get lost. The boat was in excellent shape, liked the décor, understated lots of neutrals, hard woods, nothing garish. Fun cruise over the holidays with interesting ports. Fabulous New Year's Eve with fireworks! Very few young children, lots of 20-30's and 50+. Lots of fun at the pool they kept it interesting! Found the entertainment to be excellent, who doesn't enjoy a good show with bar service! Staff with rare exception friendly and professional. Too bad Dan left he was great cruise director! Look for Darlene, best bar server!
For some reason they confiscated our small fan (they did same with others in addition to irons etc.) we got it back at end of the cruise. Took earlier reviewers suggestion and brought a power cord. Food was good, did not spend extra for specialty dining. Definitely get the beverage package or you will go broke. Watch out they charge taxes on everything while still in port or US waters. Hated the nickle and diming but that is cruise industry today.
Had perfect weather, never a problem getting deck chairs. Great excursions to swim with dolphins in Grand Cayman, bring your own crookie or pay for one to use sunglasses. Photo package outrageous you can bargain them down to half. The preserve and beach trip in Honduras was something else, watch out for those monkeys! Forget Cozumel tourist trap and rip off for beach access. Harvest Cay is a Disney version of tropical port, completely phony but loved it! Excursions are overpriced! Didn't use spa or gym (no time).
New "private" island except your food and drink package doesn't work. Bring water shoes very rocky.
Tourist trap, dirty and constant attack to buy something :(
