My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary aboard Viking Atla from Nürnburg to Budapest. It was a wonderful trip from beginning to end. Shipboard service was beyond exceptional. Dining and staff were very attentive to special dietary needs. On the first morning one of us ordered a breakfast item on the menu to be prepared in an unusual manner. No matter where we sat, or who our server was on subsequent mornings, we were asked if we wanted that meal prepared that way again! Cabin staff created special touches for our anniversary. Viking even arranged perfect weather - not a bad day during the whole trip. Included and optional shore excursions were very enlightening and the guides went out of their way to attend to each person in their charge. Viking arranged round trip air to accommodate a pre-cruise trip in Germany before boarding and an extended stay in Budapest. We were very pleased with Viking's choice of Air France as a service provider and hope that we will fly Air France again for the Rhine River Cruise on Viking Alruna we just booked for the fall of 2018!
