Since this was our first river cruise and didn't know what to expect. What an experience, from the sites, the crew members, the excursions. While we didn't take any excursions in Basel, we did enjoy Amsterdam for a few extra days. Need to have your head on a swivel for the bikes. Plenty of things to do, places you can walk to and friendly people.

As for the river cruise, while nothing to compare it to, besides big ocean cruises, no comparison. The attention on this cruise to every detail, this is the way to go. The food was exceptional, the service was very accommodating, even to the point that if you have special dietary needs, IT WILL BE MET!! The heated flooring in the bathroom was nice after a shower, plenty of room in the cabins compared to ocean cruises, bathroom bigger on the river cruise. Plenty of sites and sounds to keep you occupied throughout the cruise. There is no doubt we would/will do another river cruise.
