We had done several other self drive river cruises in France and one Viking France river cruise and loved all. So we decided to do something longer and less stressful than another self drive version. Really enjoyed it all especially the up front extension time in Budapest and all the shore excursions. In hind sight we should have extended also in at least one more venue. We will think more carefully on that next time.

Besides Regensberg and its glass shop and the sausage restaurant we were especially impressed by the windmills park in Holland. We had no idea that there is so much interesting technology involved in windmills, lots of fun was that shore excursion.

The meals on board the Modi were generally good and we found the fellow passengers friendly and easy to talk with. However the Modi meals we felt were not as good as those on the Rhone river Viking cruise a few years back. On board service by all the crew was really excellent !!

Cabin Review

Cabin was smallish but adequate and extremely well cared for by the staff. Since we spent little actual time in cabin except for sleeping it was fine.
