We swore we would NEVER do a cruise because we loved traveling at our own pace and seeing what we wanted for as long as we wanted to stay. After being lured by the commercials on Masterpiece Theater on PBS we changed our mind from Never to Maybe to Let's Try It Out. What a great surprise. The cruise was not like planning and executing your own travel plan, but we saw so much more than anticipated with excellent guides who really knew the areas The ship, Viking Legend, was a 4-star hotel; the food was a winner at every meal, and the ship's crew were like friends when we came to our final destination. Viking Cruises are not cheap, but they offer adults 50+ the kind of vacation so many of us wanted at a price we could live with.

Yes, were "doing it again" on one of the new ocean-going liners and looking forward to another grand experience.
