Thoroughly enjoyed our experience aboard the Viking ship Aegir. All details of the cruise were efficiently organized and executed, including the pre and post (Amsterdam and Budapest) stays.. Staff was very attentive and generally knowledgeable of all aspects of the cruise and tours. If they did not know they quickly found the requested information and updated us. The tours were well thought out and informative. Generally historical in nature with a smattering of "newness", and educational. We have taken 5 cruises and this was by far the best; it was a valuable experience. Our experience was first class all the way. Definitely will take another cruise with Viking.
The ships travel and docking was quiet and smooth; many times not even realizing we had departed from the docks. Enjoyed the travel through the locks reaching an elevation from sea level to over 1300 feet - Rhine River to Main River back down to the Danube, and crossing the continental divide in Europe.
Very nice. Plenty of storage space. Unpack your suitcase for the next two weeks and store it out of the way. Cabins are serviced twice per day; cabin staff was very attentive. Cabin was fitted with US electrical outlets for electronics.
Arrived two days early on our own. We love Amsterdam and just wanted to revisit.
Walking tour of an authentic German two from the 1700 to 1800's. Very picturesque. Good shopping also.
Neat little town, good walking tour, again picturesque. Town Hall was built in the middle of the river - interesting.
Bus tour of the part of the city, then a walking tour. Great historical city to visit.
Quaint German historical torn. Historical and picturesque.
Picturesque, historical German town. Great visiting.
Nice bus tour but Vienna is so large and historical it is impossible to see it all. But be sure the take the time to visit one of the coffeehouses.
Historical German town, picturesque and quaint. Very authentic.
We did not walk through the town, just the entire Abbey area.
