We chose this cruise line because we heard good things after reading reviews. We have sailed on 3 other cruises and loved them but decided to try a new line.

We booked a mini-suite on the Getaway and the cruise went downhill from day 1. First, the cruise line lost my luggage. We had the shuttle service for NCL take all of our luggage directly to the port (there were 6 of us that went). I watched them put my luggage in with everyone else's bags but that evening my large suitcase went missing (I called the luggage department 3 times). I went to courtesy desk and they said that there was a chance it didn't make it on to the ship. I had medication in there that I absolutely cannot go without (I carry as much as I can personally on me but I had to put the rest in the suitcase). As soon as I said that, my suitcase was miraculously found.

Next is the room. The mini-suite is the size of a balcony room on other cruise lines, but I am fine with that. We are hardly in the room. My problem was that the minibar had broken finger nails in it...bright red. Then, the bathroom smelled like mold. The steward was nice, but he never introduced himself or showed us how to work anything in the room.
