We had a wonderful trip sailing up the Rhine from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam in the Netherlands with many stops in Germany and France along the way including a two day extension in Basel prior to the cruise. The service and attention to details by Viking was amazing - everything from arranging the flights, getting us from the airport to our hotel for our stay in Basel and then from the hotel to the boat and afterwards back to the airport went like clockwork; we had great tour directors; the food service was excellent and everyone from the cabin attendants, to the waiters, activity directors and even the crew were very personable and made our trip a delight. We had such a great time, we are returning for a trip again this year - this time on the Danube River and are looking forward to yet another wonderful experience with Viking Cruises
