Excellent itinerary. First class accommodations. Viking tours are very well organized. The food is outstanding and the service is the best of any cruise line on which we have travelled. When you are on a shore excursion, everything has been planned in advance. Only one shore excursion had a marginal meal.

The size of the ship is also a positive. There were only about 700 passengers, which meant that you rarely had to wait for any service or event. The ship rode very well, even in heavy weather, and was well maintained. There was no drop off in service or food regardless of whether you were in a "specialty" restaurant or the regular restaurant. The public areas were always clean with plenty of chairs, and lounges.

The staterooms were cleaned twice a day. My only complaint was that the mattresses on both beds were not firm enough. The stewards were excellent and very attentive.

Cabin Review

Cabin Junior suite

Plenty of room. Mini bar was stocked each day. Stewards always available for any request. The stateroom had five 110 volt outlets which is very impressive.

Port Reviews

Crete (Heraklion)

Only had about 90 minutes in the town after the tour of the Minoan ruins.

Haifa (Tel Aviv)

Visited all significant Biblical sites.

Rhodes

More physically demanding than anticipated.
