This was our first ocean cruise and we are hooked! We chose this particular cruise because there were so many ports of call and we thought it would give a good sense of the Caribbean overall and perhaps clue use into an island we might want to visit for an extended stay at some future point. As it turns out we enjoyed everything about the ship so much that it was difficult some days to even go on shore.

The spa on the Viking Star was absolutely fantastic...best jacuzzi ever! HIgh tea every day with wonderful musical accompaniment could not have been better. The entertainment on board exceeded our expectations exponentially. We cruised over the New Year and had the best New Year's Eve party ever...champagne, dancing, entertainment, balloons at midnight. Every one of our shore excursions was very well planned and executed. Sailing at night was perfect in that we were able to wake up each day to a new port. Our state room was large and comfortable. We enjoyed the balcony every day. And the crew....FANTASTIC! Our room was kept immaculate. The servers at meals was personable, efficient and attentive. We loved the diversity of servers...representing 37! countries. This was one of the best vacations we have ever taken and we have already booked our next cruise with Viking.
