We wanted to try a river cruise and see the Danube and that part of Europe.. Loved everything about it food and service were excellent!! Favorite place was Budapest but each stop was interesting. Everyplace we stopped we could either walk into town or they had Viking buses to take us, the tours were wonderful. They also had choices for folks who wanted to walk more and others who wanted to go more on the bus. We added on time both before and after the cruise. We started our trip in Berlin and spent a few days, than on to Nuremberg to catch the boat. After we got off the boat we spent extra time in Budapest than rented a car and traveled to Slovenia and Croatia for another week, both beautiful and very interesting. We were there late Oct. to mid Nov. weather was great sunny and clear but not hot, probably in the 40's. Perfect for sight seeing with a warm coat.

We will do another river cruise in the future.
