Sail Date: Dec 2016

We had previously sailed on Viking River's Grand European cruise, a 130 passenger ship where all the crew knew your name. When we saw Viking Star was in the Caribbean, we decided to see how it compared. We were extremely impressed with the experience. The only difference was that you can't really compare the personal attention of a 130 passenger ship to a 900 passenger version - but they came very close. It was vastly better than our many other cruises on 2-3,000 passenger ships.

We liked the included shore excursions, but did think that more scenic stops for photos and less for shopping might have been appropriate. The meals were excellent, we dined in the main restaurant each night save for one night in the Italian Specialty room. The wine flowed like a river!

Again, we were very satisfied and we're looking forward to a future Viking Ocean in the Baltic and another Viking River cruise on the lower Danube.

Nice tour but I wish more time had been spent on the Dutch side of the island and have the landings at the airport.

A nice drive through a lovely island
