We have departed from Baltimore on other occasions and love the ease of their port.
Departing from ports such as NY are nowhere near as nice and easy and friendly as the Baltimore Port.
We had an 11 night cruise that included stops at St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Saint Maarten and Antigua. Each island having something different to offer and enjoyed each and everyone.
We had purchase prior to departure the 3 night speciality dinner package and Highly Recommend. Enjoyed 2 nights at Chops Grille an 1 night at Giovanni's. Wonderful food and relaxing atmosphere at each location.
As always the Windjammer and Main Dining Room have great service as well as great food and varieties.
And of course, each and every member of the staff was Excellent! They all work very hard to make sure every passenger enjoys their vacation.
We had a night and following day with 20 to 30 foot waves/swells and Captain informed everyone which helped to keep passengers calm and assured we would be just fine. A couple times during the night I felt like we were flying in the air - I actually enjoyed it and loved to watch the waves break.
We did a couple of excursions and each one was nice but our best memory is the taxi driver we found on our own in Antigua and the private beach resort he showed us in Deep Bay. We literally had our own slice of paradise for several hours thanks to the Taxi driver (who was much cheaper than the main drivers that hit you up as soon as you get off the ship).
The only thing I wish was for Royal Caribbean to have larger bathrooms/larger showers in their outside view cabins. Everything is wonderful and I am already viewing options for our next cruise with Royal Caribbean.
Thank you everyone at Royal Caribbean,
From aka Sunshine!
Cabin is nice - everything in good working order.
Cabin Stewart Jonni was very nice and very helpful everyday!
We had found a taxi driver on our own and asked for him to drive us to a beach that was quiet -- he took us a Resort Antigua located in Deep Bay and the beach was paradise. We had our own private paradise for several hours. Taxi driver picked us up exact time we asked. Wonderful day. Look for taxi guy with a Sprite can on his head -- he is the Man!
Best deal for your dollar is to go to downtown via taxi and then get on the Safari Taxi ($1 Bus they are called)., We took a whole tour of the east end of the island (roundtrip for $6 for 2 adults) and you get to meet the locals and learn about their culture and way of life. Lots of shopping to do downtown -- definitely want to go to back streets to get some of the best deals.
Very nice day. Especially enjoyed time on the Spanish replica sail boat.
Crew on sail boat very friendly and offered Rum Punch (no charge) and
even took a break for everyone to jump off boat for a swim in the beautiful
Caribbean waters.View All undefined undefined Reviews
Initial tour guide we met on the pier was very rude. We were to depart the pier by bus at 9:45 am -- we were still standing on the pier at 10:30 for unknown reason. We finally walked to bus depot an were on a bus by 11:00 am and all she said was blame it on your captain since he changed the schedule. The Captain did Not change the schedule that would impact the Island Tour (in fact we arrived at the island early (not late). She was just a miserable person.
Tour bus Driver, Terri, was much nicer. He offered an informative tour and I would recommend.View All 437 Island Tour Reviews
