I have sailed on most of the cruise lines, but this was my and my husband's first time on Celebrity. We are both 39, no children and value mostly the food and ports over the quality of service and entertainment on the ship. We sailed January 7th-14th and chose this cruise because there were 5 stops in the southern Caribbean. Great itinerary, but had some issues with the ship itself (and its passengers).

Other passengers: We saw a total of 5 children on this ship, by far the fewest of any cruise I have ever been on. However, there was a child that we stood behind in line that screamed uncontrollably through the embarkation process and guess what? They got the cabin RIGHT beside us. So, yes, we experienced screaming every morning and afternoon. But, that's just Murphy's law right? Not the ships fault. Kind of comedic, actually. We didn't let it ruin our trip and truly felt for those parents.

What I would say put a damper on our trip was number of rude ADULTS on our ship. The average age on this cruise was probably 55-60. And with that maturity and wisdom came the most bossy, rude, demanding group of people I have ever sailed with. The clientele that chooses Celebrity I have heard to be demanding, but I witnessed people speaking to the crew in very inappropriate manners. I even had someone tell me, a grown adult, how to close the elevator door when it wasn't closing quickly enough for them. People were more pushy in the public spaces, and I saw the staff treated very poorly, like they were slaves. I choose to have a positive attitude and try to have a great time on my cruises. What I saw mostly was people complaining and being overly aggressive and rude to others. I have such a better time on Carnival. One of my fellow passengers on this board actually complained because there wasn't enough food to go around after coming in from the port visits. They were RAVENOUS! I personally have never had an issue with having enough food on a cruise, especially when there is the grill at the pool and room service 24/7, but that's just me. I didn't find that to be an issue with this ship.
