We chose this cruise because Viking is well respected, trustworthy, and we were interested in educational opportunities included in the overall price. The locations included in this cruise were fantastic. It is not one for those who have trouble walking as many of the cities and villages were hilly. Of note, we sat on buses for quite some time on several days as well.

The region is beautiful and has a significant amount of history not often covered in basic courses offered in the States.

The ship itself was spotless, comfortable, and lacking no conceivable comfort. The staff were knowledgeable, eager to help and very hospitable. Dining was enjoyable - and seemingly constant. Read more
