First time on Norwegian Cruise Line, set sail from Miami January 8, 2017 and returned January 15 on the beautiful Norwegian Getaway.

Embarkation went very smoothly (despite the horrendous time had getting to Florida after the Ft Lauderdale tragedy). We finally arrived safely to Miami the morning of and got there early enough that we checked our luggage and were able to walk right onboard to the waiting area. Long lines at Dismembarkation. Either get off early or stay until they kick you off. :) We chose the wrong time :(.

Our package had the "Select 2 promotions". We chose the ultimate drink package and the 4 meals at the fine dining restaurants. We brought our 13 year old son, and also pre-bought the unlimited soda package. We also pre-paid the gratuities. I highly recommend these options, one if you like to drink and two if you want a change from the buffet and free dining option(s).
