My wife and I have now been on 26 cruises. I read many reviews on the Liberty while researching this past cruise. And I would have to say that most were extremely negative and very harsh. I was getting concerned on this except that I knew from my previous cruises and research that most were nonsense and plain lies.
We stayed at La Quinta Inn and Suites a day before the cruise in Cocoa Beach. We had a balcony room facing the ocean. Really awesome and close to the Cocoa Beach Pier. There is a shuttle to take you to the ship (5 per person). The embarkation process sucked, period. Worst ever. Took forever, but the people were nice and polite. The ship is beautiful, well maintained and clean. The crew were hard working and with the exception of 1 rude 1 they were very friendly and pleasant. The food was good . We particularly liked Guys and the Seafood Shack on Deck 9.The casino was not nice to me, but I had fun. We went to Freeport and Nassau and just walked around and enjoyed our time there. Leaving the ship was pretty painless and a smooth operation. We took the same shuttle back to La Quinta Inn and Suites as they allowed us to store our luggage and roam Cocoa Beach for a while until time to go to the airport. A great little winter escape that I recommend for anyone. Thanks Carnival, it was fun.
Cabin was recently updated and clean. Average size room and balcony. Room attendant was Richard and did a great job and always wanted to please us.
