I chose this ship thinking Royal Caribbean was a step above Carnival and a step down from Celebrity. I cruised both Carnival and Celebrity ships five years ago and was excited about taking a trip with my kids and grandchild on Royal Caribbean telling them how great the food was in the dining room and how excellent the food would be in Chops. Chops is fantastic, our only meal that I considered great. The food in the dining room I would compare to hospital food. It was actually that bad. Johnny Rockets was somewhat decent but cost extra. I had read some bad reviews on the site from some past cruisers but thought they were just complainers. There are always some people you can't satisfy and I thought just that when I read about Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. Maybe the ships are just too big now. I literally felt bad for my kids because the cost kept growing with excursions, extras on the ship, and specialty dining. Royal Caribbean has lost me forever along with my kids. I hope this helps other unsuspecting travelers because I have never given this bad of a review. My idea of a great vacation is someone waiting on me and eating meals I don't have to cook or clean up. This cruise was not even a good vacation.
