We arrived in Baltimore two days early to spend some time in Washington DC, and so we could take our time arriving at the port.  Defiantly need more time in DC.  We arrived at the port at our scheduled arrive time and breezed through the line.  Note-watch for the signs if you are staying in a suite or are a platinum or higher member, much, much faster lines.  We were on board and checking out the Windjammer buffet within 15 minuets.  This being the first cruise of the season we found a lot of older couples and teachers.  We ran into some problems every time we went to the Windjammer.  We found that since most of the passengers were older, once they were done eating they just sat, leaving no room for diners coming in later. So often time there was no place to sit.  Most times we had to ask to join other people just to get a seat.  Our room was ready at 1:00 so we went to see if this JS was about the same as the one we stayed in on the Vision.  On past cruises we have selected the early seating for dinner, this time we selected the late seating and ended up liking it much better.  In the past we have been nervous about who we will be set up with at our table.  This time we were set up with 3 other great couples, from Virginia, Colorado, and from Scotland.  We were almost always the last table to clear after dinner.  Our waiter Jeffery and the asst. waiter Nicodemas did a great job making sure we were all full and happy.  Our Captain, had a great, dry, sense of humor.  We looked forward to the daily addresses that he shared.  I likened his speaking style to that of William Shatner.  So I sent him a note shareing that fact, which he responded to quite positivly.  He was very approachable.   Entertainment was OK, we didn't go to all the shows though. We had engine trouble (which was fixed as we slept) on the way back to Baltimore so we arrived to port about 2 1/2 hours late.  Which was OK for some because we didn't have an early flight back home.  Disbarkation was the easiest of all our cruises, once our color was called we were off the ship, locating luggage and finding our driver in about 15 minutes.  We will definatly cruise this route again, but will do it later in the season.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

We ended up getting a cabin in a location pretty centrally located to everything we wanted do.  The only downfall to being on deck 8 is that most of the action is on deck 9, like the running track, the pool, and you can sometimes hear deck chairs being slid around.  Our Stateroom Attendant, Amelia, did a great job when we gave her a chance to.
