Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Great Itinerary, my wife's favorite class of ship. The ship is in need of some repairs and replacements. We noticed torn and stained carpets, worn out furnishings, some repairs needed in cabin casework as damage over the years is showing. It is scheduled for dry dock, but I understand no replacements are taking place.

The cabin was exactly what we requested in that we always strive to get a class D1.

Dining was another adventure, the dilution of the crew to the new vessels is obvious with crew members less than experienced now trying to fill the void. Our assistant waiter appeared to be lost, thus the waiter had to pick up the slack and did an outstanding job. The dining room staff making sure they are noticed with their songs, waving napkins, and parading around is getting old. I understand the staff doesn't get to be noticed but in my opinion, something new needs to be encouraged as with the menu's. Chops also had a thinner staff with the waiter taking care of everything for all of their tables. No help was available. We had heard the Chops service was not was had been in the past. It tuned out to be true.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Easily accessible, larger balcony, Centrum is close and can get noisy during evening productions till 11 PM. Several evenings the Fire Door was closed to limit the noise. Had issues with toilet backing up from clogs elsewhere in the system.
