We booked this cruise over a year ago while on the Navigator OTS. We were very excited about being on this ship. Allure did not disappoint! This ship is beautiful and amazing. Unfortunately, mother nature did not cooperate so much. We had very windy conditions for the first 3 1/2 days of the cruise. We were not able to port in Labadee due to high waves over the pier. And the pools were closed a couple of days. The back of the ship was closed off one afternoon due to something coming loose at the top of the ship which was a safety issue for passengers. I felt bad for the maintenance crew that had to make the repair while we were sailing with the crazy winds.

But the issue got fixed and the Boardwalk opened up again. The Aqua Theatre show Oceanaria was cancelled 2 nights due to the winds but they were able to reschedule for later in the week. We were rescheduled for night 5 and it was a good show. We also saw Blue Planet, Mama Mia, 2 comedians and the headliner Greg London who did singing impressions. All the shows were good to excellent in quality. Always love the 70's night. I wish the passengers would realize it is a 'dance party' to get involved in and not necessarily a show to watch. Yes, it fun to watch the cruise director (who had great dance moves) and the other dancers, but it's more fun to get involved and dance. That is the whole point.

The cantilevered hot tubs were great, but I wish there was a crew member monitoring them as parents were letting their children in them. You must be 16 years old and we saw very young children in them. The hot tubs in the pool areas were nice too. Bar service at the pools was very good.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite with Balcony

Cabin JS

This cabin was wonderful and in the perfect location. This cabin was on the port side bump out of the ship so the balcony was deeper. It was not too close or too far from the aft elevators and not near the service elevators the cabin stewards use so there was not a lot of noise. The storage in this cabin is incredible from the walk in closet to the enclosed shelving in the room. There was plenty of storage in the bathroom. The shower curtain could have been a bit longer though. Our cabin steward, Bob, was great. He did 3 towel animals, an armadillo, elephant, and a howler monkey. Very cool.

Port Reviews

Falmouth

Just did some souvenir shopping so I can't rate the excursions. The shopping at Falmouth is very good. But I don't like seeing DQ, Quiznos there. I'd rather there be some cute authentic Jamaican food place. Maybe there was beyond the port.
