Sail Date: Jan 2017

My husband wanted to experience a humongous cruise ship so we decided to try The Oasis of the Seas. Our first impression was that the cabin seemed noticeably smaller than we've had on other lines, but the boat was nice and well-cleaned. We thought the Park was very nice, and the food was good. The majority of the entertainment seemed to be aimed at much older passengers, and the water was too cold to do any of the really fun excursions (certainly that is not Royal Caribbean's fault, but if you hope to snorkel or otherwise enjoy the water, do NOT cruise in January! And it is very frustrating to look at beautiful water that is too cold for you to enjoy!). Additionally, because of the weather it was not desirable to sit outside or enjoy the water features on the ship - but again, that is a function of the time of year/Mother Nature, and certainly not a reflection on RC. In sum, it was not a fun cruise. The final straw was two experiences (with the hospitality staff and the photo staff) that pretty much soured us on RC.

Cabin Review

Cabin No idea!

Small but nice. Not as well appointed as we have become accustomed to, but well-maintained by our cabin steward, Josette.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

All we did was board and debark - but both were handled very smoothly considering the number of passengers involved.
