This was my 4th Carnival cruise on my 3rd ship. I have been on Carnival Glory twice Carnival Freedom and now Carnival Sensation. Sensation was the worst cruise I have been on yet.
So this was a cruise for my brothers 30th Birthday. My wife and I werent going to go in case she was pregnant but she wasn't and we decided to go last minute and surprise my brother. The idea was to show up and surprise my brother on the ship when we got there but the Carnival Agent who booked us sent my booking information to my brother and surprise ruined. That doesnt reflect the cruise just giving background.
We had 8 couples on this trip- 3 first time cruisers 3 multiple cruisers and 2 2nd time cruisers. We were supposed to stop at Ocho Rios Jamaica and Grand Cayman.

Extended Balcony Grand Suite
We signed up for a junior suite but then got some special deal to upgrade a Grand Suite (aka they didnt sell all the rooms and were trying to fill them). The suite was spacious and clean but again very dated. The staff did a great job cleaning and taking care of us! The room only had one outlet to charge anything. The bathroom outlet didnt work. The toilet smelled like sewage if you left the lid open, The AC was semi cold and was pulling cigarette smoke from somewhere at times. The shower was a whirlpool/ shower combo nice but when would I use this. Plus with the tub insert it raised the floor and made the shower to short for me. I'm 6'0" my wife laughed as I ducked under the water. The balcony was really cool and big. We ate breakfast and took naps out there. Beware large waves will get it wet if you are a front balcony on deck 5 or 6.
